Folder and File Synchronizer

Do you usually synchronize files between different locations or devices? Have you created .bat scripts to update your folders?

The new Updater 3.0 is now available, an Open Source utility that allows you to establish a list of your repositories to be synchronized, and then at any time you can trigger the synchronization, quickly and easily.

For each synchronization definition, you can parameterize inclusions and exceptions of folders and files, and you can also specify lists of predefined masks.

Let’s say you are a developer, for example, and you have several project folders that you work on frequently, and you need to synchronize those project folders with certain destinations. For these projects, you want to copy only specific files, and as you work with a programming language, you want to determine not to copy certain files that are not part of the code, such as binary and temporary files. These exceptions can be added to a list called “BINARY”, and then specify in the definition of each repository the use of this list by its name, in addition to being able, of course, to specify inclusions and specific exceptions of the definition.

See the features available in Updater 3.0:

  • Application with a modern theme and friendly interface.
  • Screen customizations are saved for the next program opening.
  • Allows you to create pre-defined mask tables, using comments for clarity in definitions.
  • Definition editor with autocomplete for mask tables.
  • Background processing to allow interaction with the user.
  • Instant file difference checking by checking the date / time.
  • File synchronization through buffered chunks and progress information for the user.
  • GPU update control, using maximum background copy speed.
